3–6 mL blood in EDTA tube at 2–8°C

Report: 8–12 working days.

No fixed normal range.
What is the Test?
An NGS + MLPA assay that detects BRCA1/2 mutations and large rearrangements that standard NGS may miss.
Test Procedure:
Blood DNA is sequenced and analysed with MLPA for large deletions/duplications.
When to Take the Test:
When BRCA testing requires detection of structural variants.
Who Should Take This Test:
Individuals with strong family history or borderline NGS findings.
Precautions for Exceptional Cases (Pregnancy, etc.):
Follow complete blood pre-requisites including fasting preferred, 24 hr gap post chemo, no transfusion in last 24 hrs, provide reports and consent; disclose pregnancy.
