FFPE tissue block OR fresh tissue in DCGL Preservative Solution at 2–8°C; tumour content >10%.
Test Time:
Biopsy-dependent. 8–12 working days.
Test Normal Range:
No fixed normal range.
What is the Test?
A specialised test that detects **NTRK1, NTRK2 and NTRK3** fusions which can be treated with TRK-inhibitor targeted therapies.
Test Procedure:
Tissue undergoes NGS or fusion-specific sequencing to identify NTRK rearrangements.
When to Take the Test:
When NTRK fusion–directed therapy is under consideration.
Who Should Take This Test:
Patients with cancers known or suspected to carry NTRK fusions.
Precautions for Exceptional Cases (Pregnancy, etc.):
Ensure tumour block meets quality criteria; inform doctor if pregnant.
