What is the Test? 

The Beta HCG CSF test measures the levels of beta human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in the cerebrospinal fluid. Beta HCG is a hormone produced during pregnancy, and its presence in the CSF can indicate certain medical conditions, such as certain types of cancer.

Test Procedure:

A lumbar puncture (spinal tap) is performed to collect a small amount of cerebrospinal fluid.The collected CSF sample is sent to a laboratory for analysis.
