What is the Test:
This test analyzes circulating tumor DNA and circulating tumor cells in the blood to detect genetic mutations and fusions associated with solid organ tumors.
Test Procedure:
It involves drawing blood into Streck and EDTA tubes, stabilizing the sample, and performing next-generation sequencing (NGS) and immunocytochemistry (ICC).
When to Take the Test:
Recommended when tissue biopsy is not possible, for baseline profiling, or to guide targeted therapy.
Who Should Take This Test:
Patients with known or suspected solid organ cancers needing genomic profiling.
Precautions for Exceptional Cases:
Inform your doctor if pregnant, immunocompromised, or undergoing chemotherapy/radiation; avoid sample collection within 24 hours of transfusion.
