What is the Test:
This test screens for key mutations, copy-number variations, and gene fusions relevant to lung cancer treatment decisions.
Test Procedure:
A blood sample is drawn into a Streck tube, processed for NGS-based molecular analysis.
When to Take the Test:
When lung cancer is suspected, confirmed, or tissue biopsy is not feasible.
Who Should Take This Test:
Patients with suspected or confirmed lung cancer who require molecular profiling.
Precautions for Exceptional Cases (Pregnancy, etc.):
Inform clinician if pregnant or on cytotoxic therapy; avoid blood draw within 24 hours of transfusion or imaging with contrast.
